Fresh Ideas from Newly Elected Legislators
The dynamics of our state political process is largely impacted by term limits. More newly elected officials are entering into public office than ever before with less time to make important decisions. The challenge of effectively representing constituencies and maintaining connectivity with the resources and people that help drive our economy can be daunting. Fresh Ideas from Newly Elected Legislators was developed to assist in this education process.
The purpose of the sessions is to provide member participants with a first-glance of the newly elected leaders to learn more about their passions and priorities and offer a chance to identify possible partnerships. Leadership Group participants also have the chance to share the top issues impacting Silicon Valley, how they relate to California and where we might partner. The goal of the outreach is to ensure that the newly elected officials truly understand that Silicon Valley’s challenges are shared with their districts.
